I love buttercream frosting!  Light, fluffy and oh so sweet…it makes me smile just thinking about it:)  For my fellow buttercream frosting fans out there, this recipe is for you.  Below is a stand out recipe made with Olivio Buttery Spread.  Long gone are the days of butter, margarine or crisco when Olivio Buttery Spread’s rich buttery flavor makes our heart pitter patter thanks to the goodness of Olive Oil.  Eat your heart out and enjoy this sweet indulgence!

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix the Olivio Buttery Spread with a hand mixer on medium high for about 30 seconds or until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add the salt and vanilla.  Mix to incorporate.
  3. With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the confectioners sugar a cup at a time.
  4. With the mixer running on medium low speed, slowly add whole milk until you reach the desired consistency.
  5. Mix in food coloring and spoon into a piping bag.

 

Anna's Notes

If you don’t have a piping bag close at hand, make your own by filling a ziplock bag with frosting and snipping the very tip of one corner.   This is a quick way to add a little more detail and control to your frosting decorations!
