Sangria Time!
Sangria is one of my favorite cocktails to serve at a party! It’s easy to make in big batches and present in serve-yourself-style. It’s also an easy thing to check off the prep list when you mix it up the day ahead and let the tasty flavors develop. There are so many variations and ways to make this festive cocktail suit your taste and celebrate the season. Here are two of my favorite for winter:
Winter Pear Sangria- In a large jar combine 1 750 ml bottle Sauvignon Blanc, 2 cups pear juice, 1/2 cup ginger brandy, 3 cups club soda (just before serving), sliced pear and fresh herbs for garnish.
Winter Citrus Sangria – In a large jar combine 1 750 ml bottle of Rioja (or juicy red table wine), 1/2 cup brandy, 2 cups orange juice, 1/4 cup Cointreau, wedges from 2 oranges sliced and allow to sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours before serving.
Cheers!
