Cupid loves his chocolate! This Valentine’s Day, we are making our own truffles. This simple recipe is made with 70% chocolate, crushed hazelnuts and bound together with heart healthy Olivio…and LOVE!
In a microwave safe bowl, melt 10 oz of finely chopped bittersweet chocolate with 3 Tbs of Olivio Buttery Spread. Meanwhile, in a small pan, bring 1/2 cup heavy cream to a simmer with 1 tsp corn syrup. With a rubber spatula, stir cream into the chocolate mixture. Add 3 tbs of your favorite liquor and refrigerate for 1 hour. Use a teaspoon to scoop mixture and use your hands to form round balls. Roll in crushed hazelnuts and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Keep chilled until your Valentine arrives!
