Spring is finally bursting at the seams at our home.  We had a blast planting our favorite vegetable seeds for our garden this year.  We recycled egg cartons and used a nutrient rich organic potting soil to start the seeds indoors.  The cardboard egg cartons will disintegrate in the soil which makes transplanting easy. Soon, we will be moving our vegetable starts like cucumber, eggplant and zucchini into a raised bed in the back yard while we keep some of our most frequently used herbs and greens like basil and arugula close at hand in 24″ planters on the deck off the kitchen.  Max loves helping water and watching the seedlings grow.  Playing in the dirt is fun too!
